David Bruce: Navigating The Secret Doctrine

The Theosophical Society in Portland cordially invites you to a two-hour Workshop on Sunday, December 5th. This session regarding the study of The Secret Doctrine is offered by David Bruce from our National Headquarters in Wheaton, Illinois. His workshop will address some insider tips and knowledge points regarding the study of The Secret Doctrine by H. P. Blavatsky. This workshop can assist learners as they investigate and discover a deeper Theosophical understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

In this workshop, David Bruce will offer suggestions on how to study The Secret Doctrine. Since this work is so unlike any other, some preliminary pointers are useful in guiding the student through the maze of esoteric terms and ideas contained in this stupendous work by H. P. Blavatsky.

David Bruce is a third generation Theosophist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2003, after working more than twenty years in the field of electronics distribution, he was hired as the Director of Education at the national center of the Theosophical Society in Wheaton, Illinois. He has delivered many lectures and workshops to theosophical groups around the country. When he is not traveling, David supervises the Society's prison program, which helps to educate prisoners through a variety of correspondence courses. He is also the author of the newly released book Serving a Higher Purpose, published by Quest Books.
