Library

Our library brings together the philosophical, spiritual, and religious traditions of the East and West, emphasizing the Ancient Wisdom tradition — Theosophy. Some of the many subjects included are Theosophy, Eastern philosophy and religions, comparative religion, esoteric Christianity, mysticism, mythology, psychology, parapsychology, meditation, healing, death and dying, astrology, and yoga.

The Olcott Memorial Library in Wheaton, Illinois has an online catalog and loans by mail.

Borrowing Privileges

Membership in the Theosophical Society in Portland includes library borrowing privileges. Non-members may register for library privileges for a $40 lifetime fee. Materials must be checked out in person; there are no loans by mail.

Loan Policy

Up to three (3) books may be checked out for a four-week period. Late fines are 50¢ per book per week.

Renewal Process

Books may be renewed for an additional four-week period, either by telephone or in person.
