Why Donate?
The Theosophical Society in Portland is a non-profit, educational group that operates solely through donations from members, people who attend our lectures and meetings, and those who use our extensive library. Your donations truly are appreciated and used only to support the services we provide. We have no paid staff. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
What do we do?
- Our library of over 5000 volumes is open to the public. We invite you to explore topics such as Theosophy, Eastern philosophy and religions, comparative religion, esoteric Christianity, mysticism, mythology, psychology, parapsychology, meditation, healing, death and dying, astrology, and yoga.
- We present Sunday Afternoon Public Programs on a variety topics, including mysticism, mythology, psychology, meditation, healing, death and dying, astrology, yoga, comparative religions, philosophy, and, of course, Theosophy. Programs are always free.
- Through the Theosophical Order of Service (TOS), we volunteer in the areas of education, ecology, healing, family, animal welfare, emergency relief, and peace.
